and tears come to my eyes
as i watch this fight
he's trapped inside a hole
too deep to climb
the outcome is undetermined
i see him squirming for help
looking for a word to say
anything to hide the pain
asking for an answer [so why question]
getting turned shoulders [this relationship]
watching lives change [after so many years?]
