theres no question about this song bieng the end of the world. but i tthink its about earth bieng destrouyed by our own hands
its about a nuclear holocaust destroying the world. Most likely inspired by the fears of what would happen if the Cold War heated up.
i suppose very literally an electric funeral would be a funeral for the electronics, digital stuff etc. it makes sense seeing that the rest of the lyrics are about the world falling apart or things changing to their opposites.
