@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
The morning image from the satellites is all blue and green.
And we've all got wounds to clean, here's a rag, here's some gasoline.
She wakes up fine and rested well, released at last from in the sleeping cell, breathing comes with ease.
It's a sweet revenge,
built on a chemical ride, my medicine man is the best wires to the temples,
place them on let's see how we sound.
It's all green to me.
What a sweet revenge.
It's all green to me.
See them lift off one by one, I see a cool spot here let's bring her down.
Level to the ground, a lovely mess that I am blessed to see, of me, of me
She lifts her wings up high, sensors show a lifetime until we die.
And all the dreams' details perfected in the colored sky.
The morning image from the satellites is all blue and green.
And we've all got wounds to clean, here's a rag, here's some gasoline.
It's all green to me. (Lift up your skies and all the other times, you realize.)
It's all green to me. (It lifts up your days in a single phase, I felt your hand.)
It's all green to me. (Lift up your skies and all the other times, you realize.)
It's all green to me. (It lifts up your days in a single phase.)

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version.
Great version of a great song,

Blue
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Trouble Breathing

While the obvious connections with suicide or alcoholism could be drawn easily, more subtly this song could be about someone who views the world through a negative lens constantly and how as much as the writer tries to show the beauty in the world, this person refuses to see it. It's one or another between the rope and the bottle. There is no good option for this person. They can't see it. Skiba sings it in a kind of exasperated way like He's tired of hearing this negative view constantly and just allowing that person to continue feeling the way they feel knowing he can't do anything about it. You can hear it when he says maybe you're a vampire.

Sunglasses at Night

In the 1980s, sunglasses were a common fashion for people who wanted to adopt a "tough guy" persona (note all the cop shows from that era -- Simon & Simon, Miami Vice, etc. -- where the lead characters wore shades). So I think this song is about a guy who wears shades as a way of hiding his insecurity after learning that his girlfriend is cheating on him. He's trying to pretend that he's a "tough guy" to hide the fact that his girlfriend's affair is disturbing him.

To me, it's like a hospital. It seems to fit in my mind.
"Sweet revenge" to me seems like they did something and the hospital is the consequence.
"Wires to the temples" meaning some machine hooked up to see how they are doing.
Also with the "Image from the satellite" could mean monitors with graphs with green and blue colors.
They wake up to see how eachother are doing. And when they get time to be together, nothing else matters; it's not perfect but at the same time it is for them being lucky enough to be alive.
@ifoundathing i feel the same way. reminds me of a girl i fell in love with in the mental hospital.
girl is perfectly happy, guy isnt.
The surroundings seem perfect but they are far from. Knowing that imperfection is there and not having the slightest care of its presents. The world and his surroundings are imperfectly perfect.
