yeah i agree, this song is so beautiful - its about a girl who is seein someone thats treating her badly. his best friend really loves her and just wants to be with her, look after her and make her happy, but he cant because its his best firend that she's with.

It is clearly explained in the lyrics tht he (thewriter) feel sorry or sympathize about how his bestfriend's girlfriend is treated sooo bad tht the writer wish tht hes the one who's in a relationship with his bestfriend's girlfriend so the writer could treat her better, so much better tht the writer wont let her feel lonely at night or day.
