"Shining" as written by Jerry Caiafa, Paul Caiafa, David Calabrese and Michael C. Emanuel....
Oh
Control the urge to spit up vile worms soul
Monsters seduced by her attention
Try draining the infection
Whoa-go
Go, oh

Locked in a world of vomit-soaked skin, heaven
Monsters seduced by her attention
She's draining the infection

"Carol Anne," the beast is calling
"Carol Anne, Carol Anne," she can hear souls sing
"Carol Anne," the beast it needs you
Here it comes, here it comes
Reaching out somewhere from inside your TV
Whoa-go
Go, oh

Control the urge to spit up vile worms soul
Monsters seduced by her attention
Try draining the infection
Whoa-oh

"Carol Anne," the beast is calling
"Carol Anne, Carol Anne," she can hear souls sing
"Carol Anne," the beast it needs you
Here it comes, here it comes
Reaching out somewhere from inside your TV

"Carol Anne," the beast is calling
"Carol Anne, Carol Anne," she can hear souls sing
"Carol Anne," the beast it needs you
Here it comes, here it comes
Reaching out somewhere from inside your TV

General CommentTrucksandtrains is right. It's in reference to the idea that in The Shining, Stephen King defines "shining" as the power of psychic communication. In Poltergiest, Carol Anne would be the "shiner", since she is the one communicating with the spirit.

General Commentits called SHINING, not THE Shining. its referring to the shining from the tv on Poltergeist. watch the movie before you start giving your thoughts on it. how do these lyrics even sound like they're talking about The Shining movie??
