did you even? did you even?
turn it down it's much too loud
you'd think after that you would have attracted much more of a crowd
but they all know you by now
and all your silver screen drama they can do without
but if there's someplace you'd rather be
then don't you bother waiting for me
just go away

leave tonight
i hope everything's alright
i hope your dreams are a little safer now that i'm not there
but still you don't even care
you don't even care

but now your teflon heart it still tricks your mind
into believeing everything will work out fine
but just one thing before you go
lemme introduce you to yourself, it's someone you should know
but if there's someplace you'd rather be
then don't you bother waiting for me
just go away

and leave tonight
i hope everything's alright
i hope your dreams are a little safer now that i'm not there
and i wish you faith, i wish you well
but as far as i can tell
when faced with this you don't bat an eye
you don't even care, you don't even care

you don't even care
yeah!
did you even? did you even?

so if there's someplace you'd rather be
then don't you bother waiting for me
just go away

leave tonight
i hope everything's alright
i hope your dreams are a little safer now that i'm not there
and i wish you faith, i wish you well
but as far as i can tell
when faced with this you don't bat an eye
you don't even care, don't even care
don't even care
don't even care
don't even, care, care
don't even care
don't even care
don't even, care
don't even

Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
