Don't Make Me Ill Lyrics
but it's got nothing to do with you.
We've got a lot of places we're gonna go,
a lot of things that we're gonna do.
In your world we may be no one,
but what makes you think you're someone?
We have got just what we need and we don't need you.
No one. I can tell where our future lies,
and you can tell we've got nothing to hide.
The way things seem to me right now,
everything will be just fined.
We're going to do it all our way.
We don't need you to darken our day.
We've never given up before
and this stand won't be our first time.
No one's gonna tell me,
I'm gonna do it my way.
No one's gonna tell me how to get it done.
This song is about the PUNK scene.
EBHC
this song is very inspirational. ive seen AFI many times, because i happen to live in petaluma, where i've heard they wrote the song 'days of the phoenix' about the club i go to (the phoenix theatre).(im unsure though so dont like call me an idiot if im wrong, rumors are a bitch) they are an awesome band. totally worth anyones time or money, if you like good punk music.
i think this song is about being a punk, and not wanting anyone else to fuck with you or tell you what to do.
its all about being what you wanna be, no matter what people say. its about never giveing up on what you believe.
yeah, I think this song is about doing your own thing. I can kind of relate to it in that my band is struggling to jump to the next level and start getting shows in different clubs and stuff outside our shitty small town, and we gotta do it all ourself, our way. We just gotta keep at it and do our thing until we start moving up. This song is great.
good song
hey, will some one explain to me what the hell is going on at the beginning of this song? when those people are talking...
The quote at the beginning is from spoof metal documentary "The Comic Strip Presents... Bad News On Tour" - kind of a pre Young Ones thing with Ade Edmondson, Nigel Planer and Rik Mayall. At that point in the programme the tour bus had broken down and the TV Crew wouldn't let them borrow theirs or help mend it.
just noticed another quote from the same programme at the end of "Highschool Football Hero" :)
its about independence from everything and finding out you can do what you want without help from anyone. east bay for life
