I Know You Lyrics
Social anxiety.
The first time I heard this - I cried. Haha and I never cry over stuff like this. Henry Rollins is just so powerful with words and thought provoction. (sp?)
I agree in it being about social anxiety. About the feelings everyone experiences at one point.
Henry Rollins is a very smart guy, and he keeps it real. He tells it like it is. and he tells the truth. If you like this, check out his books!
Henry Rollins really is a genuinely smart person, street smarts, common sense, not one of those people who think if they were Valedictorian and spent all their time studying. Life and life experiences are his schooling.

For all of you who like this, get the version without the background music, and put some of your own instrumentals to it, a lot of choices don't sound as good, but I think that's just some bias opinion.

I love this poetry.
I love this poetry.
Actually HR has both. He's got common sense and has also spent a good proportion of his life studying. He is insanely well read and you can see glimpses of the evidence of this in his work.

nevery heard this song, but the lyrics are awesome. what he did with Les Claypool and the Holy Mackerel and tool was good too.
It's not a song. Its spoken with no music. Still very effective.
i can relate to this song abit. its very intense.
I like how it was put to Nine Inch Nails' "A Warm Place."
It's so fitting and relaxing. The story telling of someone we've watched ourselves. Someone we wanted to be there for. Maybe someone we've ridiculed behind their backs. Maybe, just maybe, the narrator is describing what we are; what everyone feels at one point in their lives.
But that's just me.
I 100% agree with flay about the NIN music played along with it. It really isn't a song, and even with the background music- I still wouldn't call it a song. It's free verse.. But beautiful with or without the music, perfectly spoken.
