Good morn or evening friends
Here's your friendly announcer
I have serious news to pass on to everybody
What I'm about to say
Could mean the world's disaster
Could change your joy and laughter to tears and pain

It's that
Love's in need of love today
Don't delay
Send yours in right away
Hate's goin' 'round
Breaking many hearts
Stop it please
Before it's gone too far, yeah

The force of evil plans
To make you its possession
And it will if we let it
Destroy everybody
We all must take
Precautionary measures
If love and please you treasure
Then you'll hear me when I say

Oh that
Love's in need of love today
Don't delay
Send yours in right away
Hate's goin' 'round
Breaking many hearts
Stop it please
Before it's gone too far
Gone too far

People you know that
Love's in need of love today
Love's in need of love today
Don't delay
Don't delay
Send yours in right away
Right away
You know that hate's
Hate's
Hate's goin' 'round
Hate's goin' 'round
Breaking many hearts
Breaking hearts
Stop stop it please
Before it's gone too far
Gone too far

It's up to you 'cause
Love's in need of love today
Love's in need of love today
Don't delay
Don't delay
Send yours in right away
Right away
You know that hate's
Hate's
Hate's goin' 'round
Hate's goin' 'round
Breaking hate's tried to break my heart many times
Breaking hearts
Don't, you've got to stop it please
Stop it please
Before before before
Gone too far

Love's in need of love today
Love's in need of love today
Don't delay
Don't delay
Send yours in right away
Right away
You know that hate's goin' around
Hate's goin'
Hate's going around
Hate's going around
'Round breaking hearts
And it tried to break up many hearts
You've got to, I've got to, they've got to
Stop it please
We've got to, they've got to, we've got to

Stop it before it's gone too far
Too far
Love's love's in need of love
Love's in need of love
Did you ever think that love would be in need of love today?
Today don't
Don't delay
Delay
Send yours in right away
Right away

Hate's hate's
Hate's goin' 'round
Bring it down a little love is very peaceful
So bring it down a little
Stop it please
Gone too far
Love's in need
Of love today
Don't delay
Right away away
Love's in need
Of love today
Don't delay
Right away away
Hate's goin' 'round
Breaking hearts
Well, please stop it

Love's in need
Of love today
Don't delay
Right away

There's nothing cheesy about this song. It's an inspirational masterpiece, a call of the arms of love.

I agree that the lyrics are straightforward. But I have to disagree that they are cheesy. They are empowering! And this is one of the best songs ever.. definitely top 198. lol But, when he says "Love's in Need of Love Today" he's saying that people nowadays throw around the word "love" so much that it has become somewhat meaningless. He wants people to put a little love in love. And he wants the listeners to know that it's up to them to bring change into the world.

I love this song...by Stevie..but more so, by George Michael. He covers it so well The lyrics Hate's goin' round Breaking many hearts Stop it please Before it's gone too far

The force of evil plans To make you its possession And it will if we let it Destroy ev-er-y-body

Its that so true? I love this song...and no its not "cheesy". Sometimes, we never really knew...what we had..until its gone. Gone "to far"...and lost. Getting it back..is 50 50..its either gone...or its a fight to get it back...some would say, it should be free. I dont believe in free love. Love is earned, respected..and built. It can be torn down..and rebuilt.

Hate, negative feelings, insecurities, fear and money come first in so many people's life when they prioritize. It may have happened that you actually tried to put love first but the other people didn't take you seriously, and kept it in the second, third or whatever position while going their own way. I think this song has a message of hope for those people: to change their way right now, without waiting someone else's actions. And maybe there will be also hope for the other category.

lyrics are kinda cheesy...but they're really straitforward...u really feel this song..."good morn or evenin friends" is the best line in the song, it's the perfect way to say "i'm talking to the entire world"

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
