Horny & burnout now is how it always ends for me
Chemicals wear me down in your summertime bacchanalian
I saw you go
Faster
Than the morning comes
She walks away like a lady
It's always the fallen ones
I think are always going to save me
I saw you go
Faster
I want to get off one time and not apologize
You gotta steal the time of a life that's passing by

In bed she flexes her knees to try and abate the feeling
She mouths the words please to the poster on the ceiling
I saw you go
Faster
Right in front of me
She stares at him so madly
She's got the nerve to say
She wants to fuck that boy so badly
I saw you go
Faster

I want to get off one time and not apologize
You gotta steal the time from a life that's passing by
I want to get off one time and look you in the eyes
I want to get off one time, get off one time
I was hoping you would be waiting there for me lately
But you're not the kind who would be waiting, not for anybody
You're not the kind of girl who would be waiting for anybody, not even me
Just one time
I could go off right now
I want to get off one time and not apologize
You gotta steal the time from a life that's passing by
Not for sale

welllllllllll i see this entirely differently!

Stephan starts off talking about being horny and burned out in this girl's summertime bacchanalian .......a bachanalian is a "drunken festivity", so they are drunk and having sex, then she walks away in the morning. stephan then says "it's always the fallen ones i think are always gonna save me" I don't see this at all as a girl on drugs, or a prostitute, or stephan wanting love from her- i see it as a girl who has really fallen for him, and stephan is taking advantage and using her. they hung out, he got her drunk, she has some type of love for him, and they had sex, then she walks away trying to make him think that it was nothing to her, as well. "i wanna get off one time and not apologize, you gotta steal the time from a life that's passing by" --he wants to get off and not apologize because if he does get off then he feels so shitty because he knows he was using her, then he tries to justify using her by being all "well life is short, you just gotta live it to the fullest" when she flexes her knees to abate the feeling, she's not trying to abate the sexual feeling, she's trying to abate the emotional feeling, or love, she feels for him "she stares at him so madly when he says "i was hoping you would be waiting there for me...." and etc, maybe he realized after time he did have some feelings for her but she moved on because she was tired of being used

annnnnnnnnd so on she's got the nerve to say she wants to fuck that boy so badly"---here stephan is talking in 3rd person; and maybe as like a flashback to before they had sex- she started at him madly and because they were drunk, she had the nerve to tell him she wants to fuck him

yeah def agree with pat but i think she is def using the person who wrote this song and he wants to get off in sex but actually have real love involved the sex is so not connected they cant even loook eachother in the eyes .. i think i girl he is describing is a girl who he is in love with but shes clearly in love with someone else .."not for sale" again meaning he doesnt wanna be used but he does love her.. kinda sad.. and also this girl doesnt wait for ne one.. i think she loves people but than doesnt and just uses them she only loves people for short amounts of time or else how could the lyric writer be so in love with her to write a song about her at one point she must of been in love with him

ok so its official i have no life .. but music =]

i think i have a combination of all of the previously mentioned meanings. It is clear that she is using the guy who this song is written about. I also think i originally misinterpreted all of the lines that say "i want to get off one time...ect." Maybe it means not only to get off as we all know it but to get off of her after having sex. Now here is the kicker... the guy in the song realizes she is obsessed with whoever is on this poster above her bed but he is too passive and lacks self esteem to really tell her he has got a problem with it. He does not think he is good enough for her which is why he says "get off one time and not apologize" (for not being as good as the guy you want) or "get off one time and look you in the eyes" (same reasoning, he can not meet her eyes because he is embarrassed that this poster gets his girlfriend more hot than he does). When he says "you got to steal the time of a life thats passing by" he is sarcastic and saying "why waste my time acting this way when i really care about you?" or "you just have to waste my time with this poor behavior". This song is about how the guy is finally getting some self confidence and telling her he is fed up and shocked with her behavior and actions. The beginning of the song recounts her walking away from him for the last time and then it shoots to flashbacks of when they were together. It ends with the words "not for sale" which is his final sum of his feelings and thoughts toward this girl he loved.

    This song is epic.

I've have heard this song on a couple occasions and I really like it. They played this on Rockin' New Years Eve along with 'Blinded' but it was on at like 2 AM so I don't think a lot of people saw it. Its a good song though.

Damn Third Eye Blind is great. I cant wait for the new CD, Im sick of it getting pushed back. They did it like 5 times, it was first due out like last november. Im also a little worried about them doing a callaboration with Fred Durst...What the hell... Well I know it will still be a great CD.

Just for the record, the collaboration with Fred Durst was scrapped and didn't make the list for this record. The record should be released on April 29, 2003.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
