this song is pretty self-explanatory. john and robby used to drink and do drugs back when they put this album out, and they both realized they couldn't continue doing all that if they really wanted to make it big. "don't wanna live forever this way, but it's gonna have to do for today."

I was schocked when I heard this. I thought it would be bad because all I hear is that the songs on their first album suck but I love this song.
