Just because I walk
Like Obi-Wan Kenobi
You people talk
But you don't even know me
And that's all right
'Cause I get down with G.C.
So I walk on and
Listen to their C.D.
Some people laugh
They do it just to spite me
Behind my back
They don't know what I see
But I don't care what they say
I don't need them anyway
I'll just go about my day
But anyway

You go out on Friday night
I'll stay in but that's all right
'Cause I have found a clique
To call my own in-crowd
Out-crowd
I don't care your crowd
My crowd
We can't share
'Cause I have found
A clique to call my own
(Let's go)

So come and talk to me
On my computer screen
The best years of our lives
Aren't as easy as they seem
But one day we'll look back
And then we'll have to laugh
They used to call us names
Now they want our autographs
To get the girl and make the grade
It's all a show
It's all a game
And I would lose it if I played
It's all the same

So I don't care what they say
I don't need them anyway
I'll just go about my day
But anyway

You go out on Friday night
I'll stay in but that's all right
'Cause I have found a clique
To call my own in-crowd
Out-crowd
I don't care your crowd
My crowd
We can't share
'Cause I have found a
Clique to call my own

She says she'd call
But I know she won't
(She won't)
(She won't)

You go out on Friday night
I'll stay in but that's all right
'Cause I have found a clique
To call my own in-crowd
Out-crowd
I don't care your crowd
My crowd
We can't share
'Cause I have found a
Clique to call my own

I don't care what you say
I don't need you anyway
I'll just go about my day
But anyway

I don't care what you say
I don't need you anyway
I'll just go about my day
But anyway

I luv this song sooo much!! its definatly one of their best, I luv GC! Benji is hott as fuck!!!!!!!!!!! :-* and this song is how i feel about my school. I dont like anyone really, i hang out with like 4 people from school, because everyone thinks u have to play sports and shit and be cool. I have short hair with long bangs, and dye it all the time. i mix my style alot, and i guess thats just not up to their standards, but "i dont care what they say, ill just go about my day, but anyway!!" FUCK PEOPLE. im myself and im happy :) plus..i got great music like this to listen to that just totally ups ur confidence and good moods :)

this song really helped me when i think im totally alone and on my own and that "im the only one" feeling. and even when people who like the same music as you don't make you feel welcome..other stupid people in school who follow trends and look towards only ones who are dressed just like them and make friends with them, whatever it's their lose that they dont talk to ME, also their loss because they look stupid trying to be cool, and all i can think is how it's a shame we dont talk because we share similar interests in music but we dont talk.

i just wanted to say that if anyone else felt like that. it's nice to know someone else understands.

and what it all comes down to is friends are everywhere, and anyone can become friends. so cliques are just..gross!

I feel as if this song was wrote about my life. Even though I don't like GC very much, I like their lyrics. Everyone at my school thinks just because I'm different I'm weird. If I wasn't different from anyone else, I'd be a freak. People laugh at me not with me. They can all burn in hell for all I care. I have no reason to be jealous of them, because they're bitches. This song is exactly what I feel sometimes and it's the perfect song to describe my day.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing
