@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
i think i'm gonna relax
sit right back and pour me a glass
of lemonade
what a beautiful day
some days they seem to go wrong
just like the words of a sad country song
on the radio
as if i would know
i know i can't complain
my life sure is great
you give me what i need
you give me what i need
i've got it made
i want to be the one who
says the words that mean so much to you
but i don't know what to say
i could say nothing at all
words of sense don't have to come out
you hear what i'm trying to say
days aren't always as planned
but my life sure is grand
you give me what i need
you give me what i need
i've got it made
you give me what i need
you give me everything
i've got it made
and when today is over
its over
so long
sit right back and pour me a glass
of lemonade
what a beautiful day
some days they seem to go wrong
just like the words of a sad country song
on the radio
as if i would know
i know i can't complain
my life sure is great
you give me what i need
you give me what i need
i've got it made
i want to be the one who
says the words that mean so much to you
but i don't know what to say
i could say nothing at all
words of sense don't have to come out
you hear what i'm trying to say
days aren't always as planned
but my life sure is grand
you give me what i need
you give me what i need
i've got it made
you give me what i need
you give me everything
i've got it made
and when today is over
its over
so long
