Why Lyrics
Written by christine mcvie.
There's no use in crying, it's all over
But I know there'll always be another day
Well my heart will rise up with the morning sun
And the hurt I feel will simply melt away
You make me feel, I just can't carry on
But I know I won't always be that way
'cause my heart will rise up with the morning sun
And the hurt I feel will simply melt away
You don't have to give up
Why is it all wrong
Why don't you love me
Why won't you just be strong
But I know there'll always be another day
Well my heart will rise up with the morning sun
And the hurt I feel will simply melt away
But I know I won't always be that way
'cause my heart will rise up with the morning sun
And the hurt I feel will simply melt away
Why is it all wrong
Why don't you love me
Why won't you just be strong
This is possibly the most beautiful Fleetwood Mac song ever. The soaring instrumental part at the beginning is so hopeful and optomistic... And then the lyrics. Christine McVie's voice is so gorgeous. Clearly it's about a relationship not working out. The singer is wondering about what happened and how it all went wrong. the last few lines... So heartbreaking.
The meaning is self explanatory, but phenomenal song with a country feel
Anyone who has not taken the time to discover Fleetwood Macs music that predates Buckingham Nicks, is really missing some great music. I prefer what they recorded in that era, and I bought it all on vinyl.
