We made love in this room
You mended all my wounds
You said that you would never leave me
Now-when I look in your eyes
And try to just justify
The words that you are speaking
I've made some mistakes along the way
But now I've got something I want to say
We're gonna get it right
Why do we have to be so blind
Just to see the light
We're gonna get it right
Oh yeh
When I was lost at sea
Drifting endlessly
You were the light that guided me back home
So throw me one line
You're not the hurtin' kind
I'm floating 'round in circles
I'm not gonna fake it with you girl
You've got what it takes to rule my world
We're gonna get it right
Why do we have to be so blind
Just to see the light
We're gonna get it right
Oh yeh
They say it's a foolish man who gives his heart away
But I know this foolish man will win you back one day
(music)
I've made some mistakes along the way
But now I've got somethin', I want to say
We're gonna get it right
Why do we have to be so blind
Just to see the light
We're gonna get it right
Oh yeh......oh yeh
We're gonna get it right
Why do we have to be so blind
Just to see the light
Yeh we're gonna get it right
Oh yeh....oh yeh

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
