I'm trying to control myself
So please don't stand in my way
I've waited for the longest time
This is what I wanted in my way

Move over, move over
There's a climax coming in my way
Move over, move over
There's a climax coming in my way

I don't like you, don't compromise
Shattered by your weakness
Shattered by your smile
And I'm not very fond of you, and your lies
Shattered by your weaknesses
Shattered by your smile

All the kids are going back to school
The summer's over it's the golden rule
And now I'm coming out to play
So please don't stand in my way
And all the things that seemed once to be
So important to me
Seem so trivial now that I can see

Move over, move over
There's a climax coming my way
Move over, move over
There's a climax coming my way

I don't like you, don't compromise
Shattered by your weakness
Shattered by your smile
And I'm not very fond of you, and your lies
Shattered by your weaknesses
Shattered by your smile
Shattered by your weaknesses
Shattered by your smile
Shattered by your weaknesses
I was Shattered by your smile
Shattered by your weaknesses
I was Shattered by your smile

Please don't stand in my way

General CommentI don't have any idea really what this song means, but I do love it. The lines 'Shattered by your weakness/Shattered by your smile' remind me of someone who you want to be with, but who you can't have and who drives you crazy. Someone who you love and hate yourself for loving.

My InterpretationThis song deals with attraction rejection. She feels that if she loves the guy she'll lose her freedom. It's a kind of "everything that makes you well will eventually hurt you"

General CommentI'm not sure what the parts referring to another person are about (i.e., the "shattered" parts), but much of the rest of it seems to be about maturing, at least in my mind. She's ready to move forward in her life, and doesn't want to be held back. But the line that I like the best is, "All the things that seemed once to be / so important to me / seem so trivial now that I can see."

General CommentFor a long time you have been forced to live together with someone that you learnt to despise, but suddenly it comes an opportunity to you for releasing yourself from that person and now you can clearly see the size of that despise. And how good the taste of freedom is! You just want to learn to play like a kid again...

General CommentIt's a very very big song, it reminds me to live in a total freedom, good from the cranberries.

Listen to the Arctic Quest Bootleg Remix for this song.
