What's going on tonight? Is everything alright?
I hope that nothing's wrong. I haven't seen you
in so long.

I'm away, you're here to stay and I'm away and
you're ok
You're here to stay and I'm away, you're here to
stay and I'm ok

What exactly do you do, when I'm not with you?
What exactly do you say, all the time that I'm away?

You tell me nothing's wrong
Seems like I've been gone oh so long
Nothing seems to have changed
Yet the familiar things seem all so strange

General CommentThis song is really sending out mixed signals. it sounds like hes upset about their relationship, which has come to an end yet hes moving on and is wondering if she has as well..

General Commentwell, i don't know exactly what the song means, but I know I can relate in my own way. My boyfriend and I go to different schools and we hardly ever get to see each other. This song just makes me think that we can make it through the distance- it basically reassures me that even when he's away, our relationship is just gravy. Whatever it means, GREAT SONG.
