Hold me tight
This is a lonely night
And I've hurt you baby
Because you are my light

Make me strong
Just like you make me weak
When your hands reach out for me
Even in your sleep

I'll soon be gone now
Forever not yours
It won't be long now
Forever not yours

Memories they keep coming through
The good ones hurt more
Than the bad ones do
The days were high

And the nights were deep
And I miss you, baby
I miss you, baby

I'll soon be gone now
Forever not yours
It won't be long now
Forever not yours

I'll soon be gone now
It won't be long now
Forever not
Forever not yours (I'll soon be gone now)

Forever not yours
It won't be long now (it won't be long now)
Forever not yours (forever not yours)

I'll soon be gone now (soon be gone now)
Forever not yours
It won't be long now
Forever not yours (forever not yours)
(I'll soon be gone now, soon be gone now)
(Forever not yours) forever not yours
(It won't be long now)

Still a beautiful song I listen often after all these years. I think it is from the perspective of someone who is breaking up the relation. People seem to forget that most of the time this is a very hard thing to do: you still love the person you're breaking up with and don't want to hurt them, but you know you cannot keep this relation going either. I really can relate to the second verse, sometimes the good memories do hurt more than the bad, they make you doubtful of your decisions. Shouldn't you try to make it right since you had so many good times? Sometimes it is easier to break up with a fight, because you have a clear reason then...

To me, this song means a person is in love with another, but he hurts her too much, so he decides to let go. While bearing feelings for her.

Nice song, it makes me sad a little and it seems so apocalyptical.

i love the 2nd verse too and I preatty agree with GaiusBertos. the thinking about 'apoliptic story' can be in connection with the video ... someone saw it? it is very beautiful, Morten is a new Noe and he's preparing his ARca ...... I don't know what's the meaning of all this!

I dont know if he's the Noah of the video clip... I think he's just like one of the important people necessary for the "new world". Other than that the video clip confuses me aswell. But I still love the clip and the song, even if I dont get it 100%

The video shows a modern day Arc, the boys are entering at the VIP door as they see Madonna and Lenny kravitz etc enter but they didnt enter at that door infact they’re mistaken and at the end they have their apparent egos and arrogance of getting in the Arc knocked when in fact theyre pot washers and cleaners hahaha love the twist . The song however i think is about someone leaving someone they love or once loved or theyre dying maybe and ‘have’ to leave. Gorgeous song bst heard live in my opinion (all 3 playing guitars on YouTube -awesome)

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
