Measure America

The lights go down when I get home
It's half past two and my dad starts shouting
I only get to sleep two hours,
then I take a two minute shower
Run down stairs I'm running late
I've gotta be quick or my rides gonna leave me
Factor out an x + 2, set it equal to me and you
The only notes that I write (in the back of the class room)
are the ones I wanna give to you.
First period is a drag, and I think I made my teacher mad
Tell off some kid I don't know, too long till I get to go home
At least I have fun at lunch (sometimes)
There's a volleyball game today
I'm just tired, I'm such a geek
Second period's end draws near,
call the kid beside me a queer
Flirt with girls I'll never get
and I hope next week everything will get better.
Third Period I feel bad,
I never do the homework that I have
Summers always drawing closer
two months til schools finally over
Fourth period the day is over
This class goes by even slower
Redundant cycle everyday
I'm bored with my high school days
