with every breath
one I had chose
assume there will be
a thousand more
I will ignore
just letting them lead
cause every time
I will fight
it's like an airplane taking off
and the pilot's me
with no steering wheel
if I could bring this plane down now
you know for sure I'd cut it's wings
to land it safe
there's no option for me

you came too close
to me
you came too close
to me

once again
me versus me
with no steering wheel
wishing to find
which one should lead
with out hurting me
cause every flower I help fix
has been the saddest lame excuss
to say love me
love me
but everytime someone would mind
and give their big hand to me
I'd show it all
though you're all that I need

you came too close
to me
you came too close
to me

to me this song means that he's in love with a girl he can't have, maybe starting out as friends and she came "too close"... "if I could bring this plane down now" says that he would wish for this to stop, but he "has no steering wheel". "has been the saddest lame excuse to say love me" is just how much he wished that she'd loved him, trying to find any excuse possible, because she's "all that he needs".

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
