The Enigmatic Spirit Lyrics
to gibe and curse the mortal.
Abhorrent was it bleareyed glance
which petrified everything, even the wind.
So, from which dimensions did it travel ?
This metaphysical envoy.
Which breaks the logical symmetry,
and stand above our planetary puzzel.
who's been baptized in fire.
It is at least my thesis, so I
want the spirit to speak.
"In Heaven I am a wild ox.
On earth I am a lion.
A jester from hell,
and the shadows allmighty.
The scientist of darkness
older than the constellations.
The mysterious jinx and
the error in heavens masterplan."
a cataract of flames, invisible for our
supervision. Do we dare to open
our minds and souls to even
analyse it? Or should it rest in
secrecy? All I know is that I can't
deny it licentious attraction,
so I want the spirit to speak.
"In Heaven I am a wild ox.
On earth I am a lion.
A jester from hell,
and the shadows allmighty.
The scientist of darkness
older than the constellations.
The mysterious jinx and
the error in heavens masterplan."

I love this song so much. It's amazing, so melodic and well-written. The lyrics are great, too. A really good story describing the summoning of a demonic spirit.

Very good song.

This song is soooooo good! It's really amazing, I can't stop listening to it. The lyrics are fantastic, different stuff than you hear in a lot of other music and it's really refreshing and just.. excellent! Vintersorg ftw!!

The chorus is extremely powerful; it gets to me everytime, because I simply relate to it. I feel that the spirit that is speaking to him is him doing some serious soul searching (spirit and soul are often synonymous), introspecting, delving deep into his subconscious as to who he truly is, only to realise that he is very much an enigma.
As the chorus states, he is a different creature (personality) depending on his location (situation, who he is with etc). It appears that while he can relate well to others and adapt to situations easily, it allowed him to lose track of who the true 'him' is; hence, The Enigmatic Spirit.
Obviously, unable to identify who he truly is doesn't give him much self-confidence (as one would expect), giving us the concluding lines: "The error in heavens masterplan."
