Sometimes I Feel Like Lyrics
And a lonesome muted stripling with a rapt remedial gaze
The poverty of his language and the wealth of his emotion
Bring him endless murky musings and unexpected frustration
Angst and madness weave the fabric of his life
Tomorrow might be better
But right now it feels like
Behind the doors of a redolent cage
And an undeveloped intellect
Filled with impotent and static rage
And don't think you're exempt
If you earn a good weekly wage
Cause your neighbor's going crazy
And insanity's contagious!
I know there's so much you want to say
But your tongue gets in the way
And sometimes it feels like
And the tumbrel of your mind gets in the way
It's the same for everybody to degrees
We all get that foggy freeze
And sometimes it feels like
The meaning is pretty straightforward...It's that feeling you get when you have so much to say, but you have no idea how to say it, and it just feels like...[insert angry cacophony here]
God, I love Bad Religion.
This song isn't one of my favorites, but it is good none the less. Bad Religion is so intelligent.
This song is more directed twords adolescents
their have such a surge of emotion but such an undeveloped mind and misunderstanding
they feel trapped and plagued by thier own mind which they need to drag along
mostly just a phase for most kids...
"And don't think you're exempt if you earn good weekly wages, 'Cause you're neighbor's going crazy and insanity's contagious." sounds like it's more than kids. I got the feeling that you can't express yourself fully [The poverty of his language and the wealth of his emotion], or you can't think when you're angry [I know there's so much you want to say, but your tongue gets in the way and sometimes it feels like %^@$(*!#].
I need a thesaurus for these songs
