Down the street you can hear her scream
You're a disgrace as she slams the door
in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
and all the neighbors start to gossip and drool
He cries oh girl you must be mad
What happened to the sweet love you and me had
Against the door he leans and start a scene
and his tears fall and burn the garden green

And so castles made of sand
fall in the sea

A little Indian brave who before he was ten
played wargames in the woods with his Indian friends
And he built a dream that when he grew up
he would be a fearless warrior Indian chief
Many moons past and more the dream grew strong
until tomorrow he would sing his first war song
and fight his first battle
but something went wrong
surprise attack killed him in his sleep that night

And so castles made of sand
fall in the sea

There was a young girl
whose heart was a frown
'cause she was crippled for life
and she couldn't speak a sound
and she wished and prayed
she could stop livin'
so she decide to die
She drew her wheelchair to the edge of the shore
and to her legs she smiled
You won't hurt me no more
But then a sight she'd never seen made her jump and say
Look a golden winged ship is passing my way

And it really didn't have to stop
It just kept on going

And so castles made of sand
slips into the sea

General CommentThey did a great job with the song, though the Hendrix version is a bit better. Still a great job by Fruiscante on the guitar and Anthony on the vocals. The song itself is about broken dreams obviously.

General CommentThis is a really great cover. One of their best ones. The first time my mom heard it she thought it was actually Hendrix. Which is pretty cool, because she saw him at Woodstock.

General Commenti really like this song. don't know the word to describe what happens, but its about people with big hopes, but they lose them and people with no hope and they gain it.

General CommentI just think it means nothing lasts forever be it a great fling, a dream of being a warrior or a life of misery. Because you never know when that sea is going to come take your castle away. So basically its a metaphor for life and death.

General CommentI really like this cover, even though I haven't heard the Hendrix version yet. I think it's about how it doesn't matter what you do in life, you will go one day, like castles of sand are washed away in the sea.

General CommentI love this song. great Hendrix tune, and it is similar to real life cause something pure and sweet and wonderful can eventually slip away into nothingness, which is what he is talking about in this song.

General CommentO it's well sad especially the last verse. I like the riff that the guitar and bass do its so peacefull, yeh I think it is about hillel aswell. Thats probably why they did this cover, and they did it well i'm sure anyone will say.
