Don’t have to lie about where you’ve been
We both know you’ve been screaming
So why don’t you give you little voice a rest
Come on up inside my bed
And just pretend you need me

You don’t have to lie about what you know
We both know you’ve been suffering
I don’t need to be your only one
I don’t need your comfort and
I just need you with me

Stay stay stay with me
Stay stay with me
Stay and don’t u run away from me
Stay stay with me

Ohh…

And if she ever lets u down
After she’s run out of your money
Well then just on crawl on back to me
Im the one that sets you free
And Im the one that needs you
And if she ever lets you go
Well but not what u need it
And if u need somewhere to rest
Somewhere to lay your head
Then you’ll know where to find me

Stay stay stay with me
Stay stay with me
Stay and don’t you ever run away from me
Stay stay with me

Yahh…

And if u need somewhere to rest
Somewhere to lay your head
And you’ll know where to find me

Stay with me
Stay with
Stay with me
Stay with
Stay with me
Stay with
Stay

I cant live another day
I wont live another day with out you baby

Stay with me with me
Stay with me
Stay with me

Till out there on the headlights
Empty the ashtrays
Sweep out the anyway
What’s left of our time
Well you can use my body
To do what u have to
But stay a little longer
Stay with me

I don’t know what it is about this song but every time i hear it, it hits me so hard. When i first heard it on Chasing Amy i couldn't get it out of my head for weeks. But other than that i think the meaning behind this song is pretty black and white, not exactly brain surgery. Maybe thats what drew it to me in the first place how simplistic yet powerful it is. Her voice at the end when she starts to scream gives me goose bumps. :)

Ah Chasing Amy is my favorite of the Jersey movies. Kevin Smith is a genious. I love this song so much though, probably because I've been there, even though now it's slightly embarrassing to reminice of a time when I was practically begging and still had him walk away from me. I'll never let a guy do that to me again.

I love this song. It is so beautiful. I'm not one of those people who cry during movies but when i do you know that the movie is special. Everytime this scene comes on during Chasing Amy i cry. This song is just so beautiful and it just sets the scene so well. Kevin Smith worked it well. As he does everything else. That man is a god!

Great song from a great movie.. It really doesn't make any sense when you think of the time it's played in the movie but it seems to mean that the person who is singing is saying that regardless of what's happened they need that person in their life...

This song... means almost everything to me. I believe this is the greatest love song, the greatest form of love. A love where you need the person so much that you would do anything for a bit of attention from them. Just listen to the lyrics...

I don't need to be your only one I don't need your comfort and I just need you with me

    Now that's love.

This is an awesome song...I think that anyone who watched the movie "chasing amy" ends it with this one song in their head for days on end. I watched the movie quite a few times just to catch the lyrics so that i could write them down. I have to agree with spyderkyss...this song represents the best kind of love. The one where you would give them anything just to have them or their heart for a moment. I love to just sit back and listen to the lyrics and wish for a love that i would do anything for...just the chance to feel "real" love.

You don't have to lie about where you've been. We both know you've been screamin' So why don't you give your little voice a rest, climb on up inside my bed, and just pretend you need me?

(chorus) (Stay, Stay, Stay with me. Stay, stay with me. Stay, and don't you ever run away from me.)

Oh,and if she ever let's you down, after she has run out of your money? Well then just crawl on back to me, I'm the one that sets you free, and I'm the one that needs you.

Stay with me! I can't live another day, I won't live another day without you baby! Stay with me!

Turn down the headlights. Empty the ashtrays. Sweep out of the airway, what's left of our time. Oh, you can use my body to do what you have to, but stay a little longer, stay with me

Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
