I'm not afraid to rate you
I've never had to case you're own in the neighbour
Be the nature kind to know
You blessing's bar

Dreaming be hurst now that's the
If I was right the render would to put tonight
I found my competition I've been waiting for

She gave for me slancing mission been
That was the end of racing man

I don't wanna drag tonight
No I'm not in the mood for the fight
It just wouldn't be alright
For the young suicide
In love again

I know it's hard to battle
How could I turn my bed
Gonna try that we're chaigle
Blue and if I chasing pretend to they

This song was on she's live for
To life she won't but now
In the sun she's got aisled
Beat by green that own by tigers like to share

They took to me slancing mission been
That was the end of racing man

I don't wanna drag tonight
No I'm not in the mood for the fight
It just wouldn't be alright
For the young suicide
In love again

Mark it on your way back home
When the motor stops and you're all alone
Dreaming by the things that you've been
racing for you're the one I want

Want to drag tonight
Someday you will know what it's like
And everything's alright
For the young suicide
In the mood

I don't wanna drag tonight
No I'm not in the mood for the fight
It just wouldn't be alright
For the young suicide
In love again

Wow. WAY off. I have to correct it, or I'll die...And I don't know how this song could mean ANYTHING to you if you don't know what they're saying. Drag racing, love. Drag racing.

(Note to the world: To get correct lyrics, all you have to do is look at the liner notes that come with the album.)

I'm not afraid to race you I never had to chase you around But tonight won't be the night you've counted all Your blessings for. 390 Hurst! Now that's new. If all was right, the Rambler would do But tonight I've found the competition I've been waiting for.

She came from East Lansing, Michigan That was the end of racing, man.

I don't want to drag tonight No, I'm not in the mood for a fight It just wouldn't be right for a young suicide In love again.

I know it's hard to fathom. How could I turn my back on a Tri-Powered Tiger, blue and built for Chasing all pretense away. When she gets cold, she's still fun. July? She won't put out in the sun. She's got eyes of Big Bad Green that Put my Tiger's lights to shame.

The girl from East Lansing, Michigan. That was the end of racing, man.

    Chorus

Mock it on your way back home When the motor stops and you're all alone You dream about the things that you've been Racing for. You'll know why I don't want to drive tonight. One day, you will know what it's like. When everything's all right For a young suicide in love...

    Chorus

    whew Much better.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
