Jesus' Tod Lyrics
NORWEGIAN AND ENGLISH TRASLATION:
En skikkelse lå der på bakken. Så vond at de blomster rundt visnet. En dyster sjel lå der på bakken. Så kald at alt vann ble til is. En skygge da falt over skogen.
Da skikkelsens sjel visnet bort. For skikkelsens sjel var en skygge. En skygge av vondskapens makt.
ENGLISH TRANSLATION:
A figure lay there on the ground. So painful that the flowers around withered. A gloomy soul lay there on the ground. So cold that the water froze. A shadow settled over the woods.
When the figure withered away. Because the figure was a shadow. A shadow of the pains power.
-Varg Vikernes, 1993
Well, the song's called "Jesus's Death", and it mentions this "being" that's so evil all the flowers wither, so cold that all the water freezes, and when the being dies (or its soul fades/withers away), a shadow falls over the forest (which could represent the whole world, or maybe just the forests of Norway?).
It's a nice reversal of how Jesus is usually seen - depicting him as an evil, evil being, rather than as a good person; a being that brings darkness instead of light.
Bible quote follows. "He will arise as a calming influence when the world is in chaos seeking peace."
What is Jesus was the devil?? Can you even begin to comprehend what this implies?
Damn, is my brain is fucked? I'm a product of the media. Pluss to much weed i guess.

Well I know your post is a bit old, but I will attempt to translate the song into English. Norwegian: *Note: "skikkelse" is a figure or a shape of something you can't quite make out or identify.

The translation might look a bit clumsy, but it's written in a bit strange but awesome way in Norwegian as well. So I'll just try and translate it like it is written originally.

A shape/figure lay there on the ground So foul that the flowers around died A dismal/lugubrious soul lay there on the ground So cold that all water turned to ice A shadow then covered the forest
When the figures/shapes soul withered away Because the figue/shape was a shadow A shadow of the power of evil.
I'm not going to give my interpretation, but I think the translation is decent (better than google translate at least). I Hope it's help full. From a Norwegian
I believe he uses a drum program, so all he had to do was tell it to double bass all the time. Still sounds nice.
