I sleep quite violently waking warm with thunder
And I'm the magician's girl.
Buttoning my cuffs at the wrist,
And split from my neck to my knees,

How badly I photograph.
To dream of a duel, speaking furious in Latin, the scald scar of water.
Woke snug as a virgin quietly humming.

General CommentIm not sure if this song is suppose to make sense. I think the singer is traveling (in France?) and he keeps waking up in his strange hotel bed, and then falling back into sleep and having dreams. Theres the dream that hes a magicians assistant and hes in the box where the assistant gets cut in half and then put back together. Theres the dream that hes gone back in time and hes dueling someone, etc

Its one of the first PR songs i heard; i love the emotion in his voice
