this is the way nightmares begin,
or.....perhaps end.

step right up and follow me
something wicked this way please
join our caravan of sores
pimps prostitutes thieves and whores
to a carnival of sleaze
sickness suffering and disease
have no fear this ain't no dream
nothing starts until you scream.

floating in the foul air breeze
something wicked this way please
to complete your conversion
a baptism of perversion
eat the bread of wickedness
drink the wine of violence
a communion for the gross
father son and holy ghost.

come for the scare
come for the dare
come without fear
you're safe in here
come for the scare
come if you dare
you can trust me
something wicked this way please.

from dark sleep you will awaken
when your ticket has been taken
this train screams an evil song
worry not it won't be long
hands will fly from empty space
you will never leave this place,
hello! you run - bang! you fall
but wait...that's not all!
welcome to the other side
our midnite train terror ride
there's no need to be afraid
it was meant to be this way
the melting walls will come undone
now we're going to have some fun
eat the worm that makes you turn
ladies and gentlemen this place must burn!

come for the scare
come for the dare
come without fear
you're safe in here
come for the scare
come if you dare
you can trust me
something wicked this way please.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
