I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. I agree with Pyropunk. It does sound like it's about the people who think that their way is best, which can often be insensitive. For example, a friend of mine one time came to school bawling, and when I talked to her, she explained (after a while) that her freind, somewhere else in the U.S. got shot by some freak. Some other teenager came up and started preaching to her about god and how her prayers would be for my friend's freind. Sometimes people don't want to hear that; the best thing at some times is what is right before your eyes, and what appeals to complete, earthly logic.
