I don't wanna have to be your friend
I'm so tired of tryin' to be your friend
I don't wanna have to be your friend, no anymore

What is happening my friend?
You see I use the term so loosely these days
Seems we're headed towards the end
Soon to be parting our ways
'Cause you've never done a thing for someone else
unless you thought that you could help yourself
And now the day is here when you have found
you finally need the help of someone else
But they won't help

'Cause what you do, you know it's always just for you
So I don't care about you anymore

I don't wanna have to be your friend
I'm so tired of tryin' to be your friend
I don't wanna have to be your friend, no anymore
When it really doesn't matter what I say
'Cause you're never gonna listen to me anyways
Well, I don't wanna have to be your friend, no anymore

It seems you've fallen once again
Like you've done a thousand times before
And now you need a certain friend, someone you can count on
But I don't wanna be the one who's always
gonna have to make it up to you
And I don't wanna be responsible for all the stupid little
things you say, and things you do

'Cause what you did, it seems you've messed up once again
So I don't care about you anymore

I don't wanna have to be your friend
I'm so tired of tryin' to be your friend
I don't wanna have to be your friend, no anymore
When it really doesn't matter what I say
'Cause you're never gonna listen to me anyways
Well, I don't wanna have to be your friend, no anymore

You call me late at night when things are not all right
You need someone to get you through again
You need a helping hand, someone who understands
You're begging and pleading but this time I'm not dealing

'Cause I walked this road with you too many times before
And I realize now that this is not what I want anymore

I don't wanna have to be your friend
I'm so tired of tryin' to be your friend
I don't wanna have to be your friend, no anymore
When it really doesn't matter what I say
'Cause you're never gonna listen to me anyways
Well, I don't wanna have to be your friend, no anymore

I don't wanna be your friend
No, I don't wanna be your friend

This song describes my feelings for certain "friends" of mine... some people just need to learn the meaning of loyalty.

I can relate to this song. Some "friends" of mine try to make me be someone I'm not. They think that if I do drugs, or drink that all of my problems will go away. They've got it bad when it comes to that. They don't know anything else. I'm glad that I don't associate with any of them anymore. I can't even talk to one of them without them telling me what they've done. I'm just tired of it all. It's not worth it. It's never worth it.

THIS SONG REMINDS ME OF ISSUES THAT GO ON BETWEEN FRIENDS, ISSUES THAT i HAVE WATCHED GROW AND GROW. i JUST CAN NOT UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE CAN JUST THROW AWAY FRIENDSHIP. suRE YOU HAVE YOUR FIGHTS AND YOUR TIME APART, BUT ULTIMATELY IF SOMEONE MEANS SO MUCH TO YOU, YOU GOT TO WAKE UP AND NOT LET YOUR FRIEND GO. i REALY CAN NOT TOLERATE THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO JUST LET FRIENDS SLIP AND DON'T FIGHT, WHAT IS LIFE WITHOUT THE FIGHT, EVEN IF YOU ARE IN THE WRONG. sOMETIMES WE NEED TO BE HUMBLED... BUT THIS IS JUST A THOUGHT.

omg i fucking love this song, i can totally relate to it. my ex-boyfriend broke up w/me cuz he claimed he was being depressed and didnt want to drag me down, so i'm like ok, but then he's like "but when we're better we'll get back together". he was so selfish and he still wants to be friends, but its hard, hes all "im not worth it dont wait for me" but then he's jealous when i'm with other guys...grrr it makes me mad. yeah so thats my life story. this song is cool. yes.

It's about how fickle people can be when other people refuse to ask for help in the past, and how they drop you when you finally see that you need someone's help. Sometimes it takes longer for some people to realize this because they overhear others be told they need to do things on their own first. At least they are asking for help. You are so mean.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
