Living inside a barrel
a thousand years earlier than expected
poor unfortunate one
they're all standing in your sun
like that's just so unexpected
and now I wake up to the sounds of video games
there's a line
run for your life
before butterfly's wings
bring down everything
and staring into teacups
try to bring it all a little closer to something
nowhere, nothing
don't cry at me
cry at the movie screen
and keep your ticket torn in your pocket for the next six weeks
there's a line
run for your life
before butterfly's wings
bring down everything
everything
what you do for now
will it do for now
what you do for now

General CommentLike so much of s4k's best stuff i think this song is disillusioned with our modern media driven, electronic world.Shows how people who don't even realise they are disolussioned turn to superstition (staring into teacups) and the meadia rather than talking to actual people.
then the song reminds us of the theory that a butterfly flapping it's wings can affect the world in a huge way. all the conventions of modern society could be brought down by a butterfly like THAT (clicks fingers) hmm.. maybe
