Please, accept the compliment
Believe, that I mean it
It seems, like you've been hesitant...
Let me build your ego
Let me now
Come, let me now

How many times have you come across
situations you think you get beat by?
You're the only one to see it with that eye
With that eye

Please, accept the compliment
Recede, into the background
While the sun ain't changed,
they're calling it gray
Have you forgotten who you're dealing with?
And all that you say is done
You're over and out
Let me build your ego, let me now

You are the waves that pull me up from under
So let me repay you now
You can move when you wanna move
Anyway my heart won't change
(as far as you want my heart won't change)
It's no different
Whatever it is you do
Believe I will
Feel the same way
This will not change
Feel the same way

General Commentpretty blatant that this song is about just wanting to do anything to make someone happy, and them not wanting you to. Walter once said this song was for "all the girls who arent as fat as they think", which hits a chord with me cos i hate girls who go on about being fat when they are blatantly not fat at all. urgh....anyways, that's what i think...

General CommentDoes anyone know what album/where this song came from? I received a burned CD of a bunch of Rival Schools stuff years ago and it had this song. "Accept the Compliment," however, isn't on "United by Fate," the Lost Album, or the split with Onelinedrawing, "Rival Schools United by Onelinedrawing."
