Little Bastard
All fish belly white
Wears gym trunks
And a tank top shirt
When his Grandma
Sees him playing with a knife
She says, "Put that down,
You're gonna get hurt."
And she calls him Little Bastard
And she says it to his face
And he says, "Don't call me Little Bastard,
Call me Snake."
Little Bastard
Has a re-occurring dream
That he's a pirate
On a sea of snakes
And when the waves come
You can listen to him scream
As the tide runs
Down his leg

General CommentIf you cannot see the brilliance in the lyrics, I am sorry. The ripple effect of negative parenting and reinforcement produces long term deviant outcomes. Also the second verse is, to me, a reference of sexual abuse, again leading to further deviancy and deliquency. The dreams are manifestation of rape and molestation and the the tide running down his leg is him urinating the bed (indicator of abuse).
I'm sorry if you refer to thsi song as a fun song to listen to with your friends. It is much more than than. It is awareness with a catchy hook.

General CommentI will agree with you, dubbuya, that the lyrics to this song are really retarted...but the way it's sung and how it fit into Empire Records simply makes up for all of its stupid-ness.
