@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Do you know that hue of my new blue jeans?
Can you judge the mood of the preteens?
Shrink my dreams to fit me with those laser beams.
To roll with rollerina is never quite as it seems.

You only want to be in a garage band.
You know you want to give the gong a bang.
But nothing ever works out as you planned.
You only ever seem to can the canned.

Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.
Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
American Town

The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
i fink tht this song is about molokos first gig when they we're all younger . its pretty obvios i rekkon.
'Can you judge the mood of the preteens?' - the gang
'Shrink my dreams to fit me with those laser beams' - light show at a gig
'But nothing ever works out as you planned. You only ever seem to can the canned.'
it was there 1st gig and went badly. hehe. trueth
Dude, do u no nuffin. This song is about rides at a feem park. Ramasees Revenge and Collossus at Thorpe Park. When u go on fast rides u actually see more of the blue spectrum (da indigo end) cps u are movin towards things and it compresses the phasers of the photons. U spanner.
@Molokotov Cocktail This song came out in 2000 before Colossus was introduced.
this is my fave band. I LOVE THEM more than anyone. O think this song is about britney spears and how she really is a wannabe garage rocker. but all her fans are just kids. lololol
Wow, what an enlightening thread.
Rameses was an Egyptian king. The Colossus was a giant statue at Rhodes which collapsed.
o my goodness wat a geeek, well ive met moloko and they said it was DEFINETELY about their 1st gig. so i think u shud go shut up somewhere molokotov cocktail coz u dont even know that and u think ur a fan.
as usual ppl just resort to abuse cos they dont kno wot theyr talkin about. Moloko have never actually played a gig, they are a made up band that actaully is just a front for Jason Nevins (from Run DMC) who was sick of pansy Rap and wanted to rite inde/dance. so u r just gay.
oooo my gooodneesssss. im not gay actually. and they have had a gig but not as moloko they were called IndigoBlues but wanted to change their name. they couldnt decide between rameses or colosus and i sed 'what about moloko' and they sed 'yer'.
BTW its Jason NEBINS. dolt.
Wot. U r such a plank. IndigoBlues are a Moloko tribute. U got ripped of BIG TIME. And the song Indiigo is named after the Catatonia song Way Beyond Blue. Thats why it torks about hues of Blue. Ramasese and Collossus are both welsh for a feeling of accelleration and sudden dropping. Hence the RIDES!!!!!!!!!!!!
everyone is angry. well thats wot im sensing anyway. :'-( . i just wanted to say woteva the history of moloko/indigo blues/rameses/colosos (or how eva u spell it) , i think that they r so crazy and this song is catchy. i love it. its my anthem
jammaster ur just tryn to sound kool. ur not. u are the lamest person here. and i fink im the only one here whos been to a gig. a molko gig.
this song is not about brit speers. for 1 she has probably never heard of them. for 2 she doesnt even like moloko.
im saying it again. im pretty sure this about theyre first gig.
jammaster stop talkin sittin on ur mouth and talking out ur mouth.
