"Dead Star" as written by and Matthew James Bellamy....
Shame on you
For thinking that you're an exception
We're all to blame
Crashing down to earth
Waisting and burning out, yeah
Fading like a dead star, wooo
One is coming your way
Yeah, it's coming your way

You used to be everything to me
But i'm tired of the fighting
Tired of the fighting

Shame on you
For thinking
You're all alone
If you want to make a wish you weren't
Failing to impress
Why can't you sleep with
Someone who'll protect you, yeah
One is coming your way
Yeah, it's coming your way

You used to be everything to me
But now i'm tired of the fighting
Tired of the fighting
Fighting yourself

---------------------
+ First version

She'll know for thinking
Your with assumption
We're all to blame
Crashing down to earth
Wasting and burning out
Fading like a dead star
One is coming your way
Its coming your way

And you used to mean everything to me
And now your tired and shining
Tired and shining, burning up

They know you for thinking your all alone
If you want it you should learn
Fading to the ground
Why can't you sleep with
Someone who'll protect you
One is coming your way
Its coming your way

And you used to mean everything to me
And now your tired and shining
Tired and shining, burning up

General CommentI hate when people assume Muse songs are about relationships. Yes, they do right about Love but much of their stuff is actually about the world and badly we treat each other and just stuff like that. Very political. Very convicting in a way.

Next time you listen to Muse, analyze it. Think about the lyrics and how they wouldn't apply to a relationship. Inductive logic shows that most songs are about relationships but Muse is definitely an exception.

Listen people. Use your minds. They are there for a reason.

General Commenti think its about 2 things, either breaking up or someone with a "holier than thou" attitude

General Commentthe meaning is pretty self explanatory, a guy finishing a relationship cos hes sick of the arguements but this song is so great cos its incredibly dark and moody.Muse really do seem to restore my hope in music. they rock

General Commenti also think that maybe this song is about him wanting to be with a girl but she never lets him and then she finds another man who he feels is inadequete for her :( just an idea

General Commenti havent heard this song because u live in a culturally isolated, deserted, black hole country (australia) and the single isn't coming out until next year. its heartbreaking because muse is my all time favourite band and i long to hear this song!!!

General CommentGet an mp3. It's off Radio 1 from here in UK, but you can take off those voices I suppose. The video rules too... both of them =D

General Commenti hated this song when i first heard it, and thought it was possibly their worst song, compared to 'in your world' ....but by listening to the lyrics and how it relates to the music do now believe that it is a great song!
    i love every muse song
