Bring Back The Sun Lyrics
This song kind of makes me wanna cry. It's a great song, and I have no clue what the meaning is, anybody know??
I think this is about a marriage gone bad. Everything seems perfect, like the little white house they live in, but they're constantly fighting over the bills and such. Bringing back the sun would bring back the happiness this couple once knew before things went bad.
god, lol, its like every song off Gravity is better than the last. this fucking rawks.
Gravity is the best c.d. ever made and it is about a marriage gone bad
have you people even listened to their old albums??? the lyrics in the old albums are way better.. trust me
I think this song is about a relationship that has been going down hill("we shouldn't have to fight, or worry about the bills tonight"), but now he realizes that he wants things to be good again("bring back the sun, the mystery is gone"); ("i'm hanging up my ego"). Like he was unsure about things, but now he is sure he wants this("bury this hate and fill it with love").
My best friend has the new cd nad he said that this song was the worst song on the cd and that it wreaked the cd. So i had to go dl it. I'll buy the new dc soon it looks great. I love this song. I would definately agree with the idea of a relationship gone bad. I think what was happening was that Raine was taking to much controll and that he was trying to hard and crushed others. Wehen he says I'm hanging up my ego. And I want to be your shadow. Saying he wants to be your shadow would be bringing himself back down from his "high and mighty" and sort of humbling himself.
I don't have much else to contribute to the postings thus far - I agree with the general consensus: a relationship that once was beautiful that turned sour.
What Raine is referring to specifically, I don't know. I don't believe he is referring to his personal life, as other songs on the album (ie. Somewhere Out There) infer that his relationship with Chantal is going well.
This is, thus far, my favourite song by OLP, for many different reasons. Lyrically and symbolically it is one of the most touching. It is very moving musically, ranging from dark and bassy to almost ballad-like. It is also a very reassuring song: we all have our dark times, our 'sunsets'; however, there is hope for all of us if we give up our differences and cultivate love.
If we work hard at it, we'll make it to the next sunrise.
this song is so good...i also just saw a little acoustic show they put on at a restaurant, this song sounded amazing
this is one of my all time favorite songs by our lady peace why aren't they as popular here in the good old USA because only people get to here is one song by them and its somewhere out there it might be a good song but this whole album rules not just that track number 3 known as Somewhere Out There so if you listen to them listen to the entire cd from 1-10 don't just listen to somewhere out there here is a great song that doesn't get any attn.
