See a Little Light Lyrics

Listen, there's music in the air
I heard your voice, coming from somewhere
But look how much we've grown
I guess I should have known

As the years go by, they take their toll on you
Think of all the things we wanted to do
And all the words we said yesterday
That's a long time ago
You didn't think I'd really go, now
Are you waiting? (I know why)
You're already saying goodbye
Are you ready? (I know why)

I see a little light, I know you will
I can see it in your eyes, I know you still care
But if you want me to go
You should just say so

Another great Bob song. I think this song is about opportunity, chance and the importance of making decisions and making things happen.

This is a song about a guy who can read the writing on the wall and knows he's about to get dumped. And now that he "see's the light" he can accept it.

It's a great song... judging by the lyrics I do agree about the guy seeing the writing on the wall however he still thinks his girlfriend still loves him by looking into her eyes (see a little light) and just wishes she says how she feels.

Maybe, but knowing Bob, I doubt it's about a girl. Not that it matters, as you can see he wrote it gender-neutral...

Not Valid

It may be gender-neutral, but Vinster's interpretation is quite likely. This along with "Heartbreak a Stranger" are my two favorite songs on the "Workbook" CD.

To me, this song is not about a relationship with a romantic partner. He’s speaking to himself. The song is about him. “I can see it in your eyes” - he’s looking in the mirror.
