Personal Space Invader Lyrics

Sometimes I just want to be left alone/ move your big head/ it's my way go and get your own/ I don't care about the things you do x4/ all my friends can't relate/ no time off to hesitate/ feel my head touch my face/ two steps back you're in my space/ you want more/ impossible to say she ate/ got the high score/ forgot to put the letter H/ I don't know about the things you do x2/ I don't know about the things you know about the things I know about the things you do/ all my friends can't relate/ no time off to hesitate/ feel my head touch my face/ two steps back you're in my space/ and now let's think of how we met/ all the illegal pictures on the net/ remember how we taught you well/ and that your playground is the gates of hell/ I don't know about the things you do x4/ all my friends can't relate/ no time off to hesitate/ feel my head touch my face/ two steps back you're in my space/ will you see/ touching me/ can you see!/ I don't know about the things you do/ I don't care about the things you do/ I don't care about the things you do/ I don't care about I don't care about/ all my friends can't relate/ no time off to hesitate/ feel my head touch my face/ two steps back you're in my space/ personal space invader x2/ strange how you find out later/ personal space invader

corrections - instead of "say she ate", it should be "satiate" (meaning never satisfied), so the lyric reads "You want more, impossible to satiate". Also, "gates of hell" should be "gate to hell".

I found this song by accident, it was a download on a Deadsy site, and Elijah is awesome on this song, every song he touches is great!

I think this song is about the man (authority) always being in the way, never leaving you alone, invading your space. Whether your parents, junior high principal, the cops, or the president, the man is trying to invade your space. The background voice that says "remember how we taught you well" and stuff like that symbolizes the man. When he says "remember how we taught you well" I think he is refering to teachers and principals, who are usually a kids first authority figure after parents, and usually this authority figure is looked back on more negatively than other figures. When he says "your playground is the gate to Hell" I think he is refering to drugs or masturbation. Some people find fun in those things, and the man usually tries to supress those things. Maybe I'm reading too far into things, I don't know. When I first heard the song, I was pretty young and thought that it was about a stalker, invading Sugar Ray's personal space. I don't think that's it though.
