"Stay (Wasting Time)" as written by and Jelle/soldatt Paulusma....
We were walking
Just the other day
It was so hot outside
You could fry an egg
Remember you were talking
I watched as sweat ran down your face
Reached up and caught it at your chin
Licked my fingertip
Wasting time
Let the hours roll by
Doing nothing for the fun
Little taste of the good life
Whether right or wrong
Makes us want to stay, stay, stay
For awhile
Later on the sun began to fade
Then the clouds rolled over our heads
And it began to rain
Oh we were dancing mouths open
Splashing tongue taste
For a moment this good time would never end
You and me
You and me
Just wasting time
I was kissing you
You were kissing me love
From good day into a moonlight
Now a night so fine
Makes us want to stay, stay, stay, stay for awhile
Wasting time
I shall miss these things
When it all rolls by
What a day
Want to stay, stay, stay, stay for awhile
Hey love
Oh just groping you
Rolling in the mud
Stay a while
Come on love
Want to stay, stay, stay, stay for awhile

General CommentSorry that my comment isn't really deep, but I couldn't let this great song go unposted. Here Dave sings about how, when you are in love, nothing else matters. you can handle anything the world throws at you. You enjoy life, no matter how it is, when you are with your love. You want to hold the moment with her forvever, for life is pefect. Even in the heat or the rain (examples of troubles) the two of you can enjoy life.

General CommentOh man, you just gotta stay with that one person, cause every moment with them is so great..."I shall miss this thing when it all rolls by..." - Live in Chicago version is great, no lovely ladies (no disrespect to the ladies)

General Commenti don't see this song so much as being in love, but merely as enjoying life to the fullest. many people complain about extreme heat, but he's basicaslly saying "i'm alive, and no matter what the weather is i'm happy to be here." enjoying life with the people around you has always been a big theme of dave matthew's band music, and this is a great example.

let's hope this gets saved cuz i'm having sucky problems with that >.<

General CommentI agree with mrshako. To me, Stay was DMB's most meaningless, dull song.... until Everyday came out, which had at least 5 more to rival it. Thank god for Busted Stuff, I was starting to lose faith for awhile there.
