This song is really about Bill Cosby! 1. The muddled nonsense of the verses mimic Bill's trademark "hippidy hoppidy" way of taking. 2. "Bright pink fluro jacket" is clearly a reference to Cosby's famed sweaters and otherwise flashy dress sense. 3. The chorus is from the perspective of one of Bill's victims - despite being overweight and slow, Cosby was indeed able to capture many young women. 4. "....last night at the show" = The Cosby Show! 5. "don't let them get away, don't think they can play" - need I expand on this? Case = Rested! Turns out Stereogram knew about Mr Cosby's appalling behaviour long before the rest of us did... If only we'd been paying attention. |
