Taylor Swift – Blank Space Lyrics 9 years ago
I think this song has a much deeper meaning then how the music video actually portrays it. I think the song is actually quite sad, and it's basically Taylor expressing how she has lost hope in finding a relationship that is actually going to be successful. The media has given her the reputation of being a slut and being with many men, and she is using that stigma to show us how she is only looking for a relationship that will be eternal for her.

I find the sad part is how she disses herself in the song, which adds to the idea that she is losing hope of the possibility of love. For example; "You can tell me when it's over, if the high was worth the pain." She's treating the relationship likes it is already doomed and will go nowhere.

That's my interpretation. I may be wrong and maybe it really is just about Taylor Swift being a psychopath. I can't tell with her nowadays. xD

Not a very popular opinion, but I don't think this is about God, or anything religious. I think this song is about him coming to the senses that his loved one, someone who has passed away, is still with him, no matter what.

Athlete – Rubik's Cube Lyrics 10 years ago
This song is about being confused with the world. Let's break it down.

"The world is too heavy, to big for my shoulders. Come take the weight off me now."
The world is falling down on you, everything is crumbling. Life is so hard and just not going right, and he'd rather be dead than alive.

"Open the sky for me now."
This also relates to rather being dead than alive. He is asking for death, he is asking to be sent to Heaven.

"I'm like a kid who just won't let it go. Twisting and turning the colors in rows. I'm so intent to find out what it is. This is my rubik's cube, I know I can figure it out."
This is realizing that you can figure out how to deal with life. Life is a puzzle, and in it's darkest times, it is like an unsolved rubik's cube, mixed and scattered and confusing. But there is always a way to figure it out.

I've made this whole fictional story that I think its with this song, and it isn't religious at all.

I've made this whole little story about two people falling in love, and being so close. Holding on to each other, imagining eternity, and just loving each other. But then, when the girl dies in a car accident, this is the boy's perspective after a few years of grieving. He's realized she is still there, and she isn't gone forever. And how they will still spend eternity.

"I can finally see, you right there beside me." The guy realizing how they will always be together, no matter what.

"Please don't let me go, I desperately need you." - Him talking to her, not wanting to lose her like he did before.

Ellie Goulding – Explosions Lyrics 10 years ago
This song isn't simply about a break up. It's about a death too.

"As the tide moves in, and your body starts to sink."

"I will love you, another time." - In the afterlife.

Britney Spears – Everytime Lyrics 10 years ago
Love the music video for this song. I'm pretty sure the song is about pressure, in Britney's case the papparazzi everywhere, and how hard it can be to deal with it. I know how she feels, needing someone to be there, and when her boyfriend isn't, she lets it all go.

Just my opinion. NOH8 please. (:

Marianas Trench – By Now Lyrics 11 years ago
Some probably won't feel the same, but I just felt like I should share my interpretation.

I don't believe this song was written with the purpose of it coming across as only a love song. I think it's more about that one person who is always there for you, whether it be a close friend or a lover, it's that one person. But then, all the sudden that person isn't there anymore. Kind of like the relationship was a teeter totter, one end feels so much differently then the other.

'Sometimes the one you want, is not the person you need.'

We want that one person who is always there for us, and though we feel we need them, sometimes they aren't the one we need. Sometimes that person and you just weren't meant to have whatever connection you thought you had.

Err... The more I write this the more I feel I have a bad interpretation. Oh, well! Suits the situation I'm in, so I'll keep it. :P
