The term "pink moon" in catholicism is the apocalypse i.e. the end of time. -"I saw it written and I saw it say" refers to John's apocalypic vision in Revelations in the Bible He says, "None of you stand so tall..." referring to catholic priests and the likes who think of themselves as holy, saying that when God comes again they are not holy as they think they are and are ultimately going to hell.- "Pink moon gonna get you all." Basically the Romans persecuted early christians so it's kind of pay back but the song also highlights the fatal flaws in the Roman Catholic church. Whatever your interpretation, its a beautiful song and perhaps my favorite of all time... |
