not that im a fan of country, i simply tolerate it, but country has some of the greatest guitarists of all time. they may not shred like eddie or satch or whoever else, but they can definantly play. im sure some of the best guitarists would attest to that. |

if i were to offer a child the choice between a few food items (chocolate, vegetables, fruit, etc...) and i know that child well enough to know that they would choose the chocolate, that doesnt mean it was pre-determined or i made them do that. it may not be the best analogy, but the point is, just because you know something is going to happen doesnt mean you made it happen.
the thing with atheism is, they believe that there is no god. this statement implies that the person making it is all knowing, because to say that there is definantly not something, you must have knowledge of everything. and no person has knowledge of everything.
that being said, i agree that people shouldnt push their beliefs down someone's throat. people will come to you with questions, you dont have to bother them. every culture, from the most industrialized to the most primitive, has some sort of supernatural belief, so whether this is because man is stupid and just wants to invent something to make themselves feel good about themselves or that eternity is written in the hearts of men, and that everyone sort of 'knows' that there is some sort of higher power, and they just choose what they think it is (God, Buddha, Satan, the big bang, etc...) is up for debate. |
