Alkaline Trio – Another Innocent Girl Lyrics

Dan told me that he says "This is a song I wrote about my brother" at the beginning. He said it while they were recording but they decided to leave it in anyway. |

Hot Rod Circuit – Irish Car Bomb Lyrics
|
The song is obviously about smoking
"Throw it all away in the course of one day" how easy it is to throw your life away in one day like taking up the habit of smoking.
"Why can't you just go outside?" some people tend to hate it when people are smoking near them and want to take them outside.
"Breathe in, exhale, you know you taste like cancer." Obviously refering to how to smoke a cigarette and how someone tastes when you kiss them after they smoke. |

They don't play old songs like these live. I got to hang out with the band after a show they had with The Starting Line last year and they talked about how they think the old songs suck even though I completely disagree with them, this song's one of their best. |

This song kind of reminds me of Fahrenheit 481, just some of the language used |

I can't find a version of the song with the "compassion isn't easy" part, is it just a typo? |

Until they come anywhere near here I'm going to have to settle for the concert videos on their site. I hope they make this song acoustic |

Cake – She'll Come Back To Me Lyrics
|
I'm surprised no one commented on this yet, it's one of the most beautiful songs I've heard about someone who's so hopelessly in love with a girl that they aren't able to move on with their life. I like how Cake manages to make the song sound "country" |

The Ataris – 1*15*96 Lyrics

The song can't be about his daughter? How could not be in love with their own child? And who would take them drinking and getting sloshed when they're a newborn? |

Alkaline Trio – Cop Lyrics
|
The media only broadcasts negative things that are rare when they are compared to the countless thousands of good deeds that police officers perform everyday. If the media wasn't always trying to grab attention and you could actually see the ratio between the number of positive police stories next to the ones in brutality you'd be amazed. Police aren't bad people in general, there are a few bad seeds, and isn't that true about every job category? Cops are there to protect you and if the media wasn't so evil and trying to make money you would see that and actually have respect for police officers. |

Avril Lavigne – Complicated Lyrics

Hooray! Someone to join the ranks of Blink 182 and Sum 41 and fuel the preppie definition of punk! God bless America and how talentless music is continued to be constantly streamed across the nation! She's being compared to No Doubt in some places, which is ironic since they're both sellout garbage |

The original was made by Hot Water Music but I think their cover of it is better. This version's better than HWM's sour sounding acoustic one |

Finally Gone – This One's For You Lyrics

I'm sure you two haven't even heard any of Dashboard's stuff until it was played on the radio. I could see Finally Gone making it big just like Dashboard since the similarities are very close, but since most people don't know Dashboard prior to his discovery you wouldn't know what I'm talking about |

What the FUCK are you all talking about!? San Dimas has to be the greatest love song of all time! Have you all been desensitized to sentimentality and had your hearts ripped out of your ass by the ones you used to love that many times to become so embittered about such a poetic work of art? |

Millencolin – No Cigar Lyrics

the old version of Kemp is way better than No Cigar. No Cigar is Millencolin's most bandwagoned song. Maybe the new version of Kemp is worse than No Cigar, but definitely not the old one |

Puddle of Mudd – Drift And Die Lyrics

Mudd is a no talent band that was just created for teeny boppers to bandwagon on so they can say they relate to the songs and that they're capable of feeling angst |

Pearl Jam – Jeremy Lyrics
|
It wasn't banned because someone shot up their school, in the music video Jeremy kills himself in front of his classmates, and just because kids look 12 in a video doesn't mean that it was based on a 12 year old. It's adaptation, a filmmaker remaking something that exists into his own image of how he wants it to be. |

Tool – Die Eier Von Satan Lyrics

Also I am not saying this as a means of pro-nazism but Hitler was a brilliant leader. He just was using his brilliance for the wrong causes. People forget to realize how close he came to controlling the entire planet. If he didn't find a german scientist's idea for radar obsurd Europe and the US would've been under his control |

Tool – Die Eier Von Satan Lyrics

Tool is mainstream unfortunately, so many people have already bandwagoned on them, at least here in NY anyway. It's so f*cking annoying when a band has been around for a long time and you've liked them, then one song gets popular and bandwagoned and everyone's all of a sudden a magic fan |

The Ataris – How I Spent My Summer Vacation Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
ACTUALLY this song sounds more like someone giving up everything for their dreams, being extremely happy to be fufilling them, and then learning that someone that was close to them/that they loved commit suicide (I'm still waiting for someone, to call me up and tell me your dead) It sounds more like an upbeat song to keep your mind off of the negatives about it. |

Unwritten Law – Lonesome Lyrics

This song brings back the worse memories about the summer last year. There was this one girl that I had a crush on for like a year and I thought she would eventually see that I was more caring and sweeter than the guys she liked but she never came around. This song just rubs it in, even though Unwritten Law rawks |

Lagwagon – Know It All Lyrics

I know this song attacks people like me but you just get so pissed off because you spent all of this time over a band you discovered out of your own time, you searched high and low for, and then they are played on the radio and all of these teeny boppers sell out and start liking their music, it's really annoying. It's what happened to Blink 182 and Sum 41 |

Sugar Ray – Ode to the Lonely Heart Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
This song in my opinion is about a guy that was jealous over a girl, and when he finally had her, he was so in love with her that he smothered her and she died from some reason and he's completely heart-broken now because he realized what he has done and how he wishes he "shared" love instead of just pouring it all on her. |

Unwritten Law – Seein' Red Lyrics
|
The whole mainstream relativity is that before a band goes mainstream and they're really popular, they'll be successful, but once they go mainstream everyone will bandwagon, their music will be overplayed on crap top 40 radiostations (or any radiostation trying to be "in" for that matter) and the original fans get pissed off because of all these teeny boppers or wanna-be fans that just bandwagoned because that band is "in" when these people have been fans all along and these bandwagoners would most likely not give that band the light of day. So you see, the reason fans don't want bands to go mainstream is because they'd only be doing it for money when all of their pre-mainstream fans like them because of their talent. When bands go mainstream that have been around for a while (i.e. Blink 182, Sum41, Gorillaz) everyone bandwagoned them and older fans get angry because these bandwagoners only like them because of one song, when the original fans actually searched for these bands and found them out on their own. |
