ben gibbard is a freaking genius, i love the lyrics he writes! im so happy death cab is getting more recognized for their work, the same goes for the postal service. im from seattle, and with death cab being a seattle-band, im proud of them and ive been a fan a long time. this song, 405, is my favorite. im not really sure what this song is exactly about, but i know its about I-405, a highway that goes right into seattle and maybe this song is about memories of him always taking that freeway to get to this girls house or something |

i agree w/ you guys who said that its about running away and stuff, but it has more to it, like when he says learning how to smile, or to climb back up again, its him saying that they were at really low points in there life and now they've turned that around and our happy for the first time in a long time. as if they've forgotton how to be happy or to smile i guess u could say. this is my favorite song by everclear, its just so powerful and everything. |

I love this song so much. Especially the guitar. i was told that this song is about the cult that all killed themselves because they thought the world was ending. And then i was told that Serj (i think it was him) said that its about Jesus dying on the cross for fame (grab a brush and put a little make up) but it could be very possible im wrong. also, they lyrics are wrong at then end. |

i think that it goes good w/ the spiderman soundtrack.i think when he said "we've only just begun to learn to crawl" is referring to its the starting of this relationship hes singing about, because learning to crawl is one of the first stages of a humans life before they start to walk, and its probly refferring to one of the first stages of their relationship. |
