| i think the meaning of this song is semi-obvious. first off, he has to drag himself out of bed because he can feel his bad mood already, there's not any real reason to be upset or lonely, but he feels lonely anyway. "even though the sun is shining down on me And I should feel about as happy as can be I just got here and I already want to leave" then, everybody knows he's upset but nobody knows why, he doesn't know why. he just has to deal with it. | |

to me, this song is about how somebody loses a relationship, and the guy is always complaining over how upset he is and sad and confused, and everybody gets sick of his complaining. "i'm waiting for someone to say i can't take it anymore, what's so wrong with being sad?" like they're asking him why can't he just deal with his saddness and keep it to himself. towards the end he starts wondering and thinking again so he gets mad at himself and says "well there i go" i always get pissed off at myself and wonder what i did wrong when i lose somebody special. |
