I think it's a song about death, and I visualize a couple laying in bed (the man is suffering and the wife is laying by his side). When he talks about how he used to "dance with laughter with the everafter" is how he never really cared about dying until he found her. Now, as he's dying, the only thing that makes his pain and fear go away is when he looks at her. I think the part about "another man" is her life after he dies. Like, whatever he did to end up on his death bed, he never did it as a means to make her leave him, but he also accepts that life will move on. Good comments so far....I think everyone has a very valid view! Normally, some of these are just "No way". lol. |
