Queen – Bicycle Race Lyrics

I agree with number6. My mom just got the CD with this song on it and she was playing it, and now I've got it stuck in my head. But I love it when he sings, "I want to ride my bicycle!" |

Yet another great Sublime song! Brad Nowell knows how to get you singing something you probably shouldn't. |

The Smashing Pumpkins – Today Lyrics

My friend has this CD; we were listening to it at her house. This is her favorite song on it and she played it over and over again. Now it's stuck in my head. God, it's awesome!
I couldn't agree more with what whataweirdo said. |

Bright Eyes – Loose Leaves Lyrics

"I won't cling to what I had in the past but life is a slippery slope
Regret is the steepest hill
Hope for the best
Plan for the worst and maybe wind up somewhere in the middle"
First time I heard that line, it was total deja vu. It was like someone had said those exact words, giving me advice of some sort. |

Bright Eyes – From a Balance Beam Lyrics

How could anyone not love this song?! It's so pretty. The rythym is so brilliantly done. I don't think I could ever write something as half as wonderful as this.
The meaning of this song is on the tip of my tongue. I just can't explain what it means, but I feel like I know. |

Bloodhound Gang – The Bad Touch Lyrics

I swear, this song has some of the dumbest similes and metaphors. But they do make it a very ass-shaking song, so you gotta sing along with it. |

Our Lady Peace – 4 A.M. Lyrics
|
Everyone beat me to the meaning, so all that is left is for me to critique it. In a good way, of course.
This song makes me cry. I think anyone can relate to this song about any person in their life, not just people who have a lousy relationship with someone. It can be a good relationship, yet you never tell the person how much they mean to you. The music video is awesome too. I can't help but cry at the end when the guy is lying on the sidewalk and Raine comes over to help him up. |

Modest Mouse – What People Are Made Of Lyrics
| 22 years ago
|
I swear I commented on this song before, so it must have gotten deleted. But anyway, I love the part where he talks about the clock. I get this image of a crowded room of people and they all turn to look at the clock as the guy tells them about it. Then its a mad race to see who can guess the age first.
Anyway.
The beginning is awesome too when he says, "What's up? Make love?" I love how he says that! |

Céline Dion – My Heart Will Go On Lyrics

Sorry nataliemay, I didn't cry. I never have. I can't even make myself cry. I mean, I think it's a good movie, I just don't normally cry at movies.
Anyway, I came here to say something else. Take Celine's voice away, and you have one beautiful song. I can play this on the piano, and I've gotten past the fact it's for Titanic. It's so pretty and very relaxing. I think her voice ruins it because I'm not really a fan of hearing females sing, even though I love to sing. |

Eagles – Hotel California Lyrics

|
After reading through all the comments, I think daffyb's is the most valid. It seems a lot of times bands sing about the music industry, and it is in metaphors. They make the metaphors sound like they could be talking about just about anything, as evident in the comments before mine.
I'm sure whichever one of them wrote this knew he would be toying with everyone's minds for the next 100 years. :) |

I think he is saying that she takes the relationship too seriously, and he wants her to notice that he's not as serious about it as her. |

Relient K – Staples Lyrics

I don't know if this song is supposed to be serious or not, but it seems like it isn't. It's like one of those songs that jokes around, but the main point is serious: Don't be stupid. |

This is the first song I heard by them, too. "Can I call you? Do you still hate me?" I love how he says that! Reminds me very much of someone who meant a lot to me. This is a song he would totally write. |

There is an even longer version of the song. I've heard it a few times. I don't have it memorized, so I can't post it. I like it better though because it goes into more detail and whatever. |

I have no idea what this song is about. Can anyone help me here? Oh well. It's a pretty catchy tune; woke up singing it. Of course, it's probably because my brother was playing it loud enough for me to hear. :) |

The Business – Winners And Losers Lyrics

This song is obviously about wreaking havoc on the earth and mutilating little children. Not really, but I just had the sudden urge to say that. It's a good song; very catchy, but I don't think I need to explain what it is about. |

Rammstein – Stripped (Depeche Mode cover) Lyrics
| 22 years ago
|
I thought it was about rape at first because he says "let me see you stripped." My brother told me that he's saying he wants to see who she really is deep down. He wants to get past looking at the physical things or a mask that hides who they really are. The line "Let me hear you make desicions without your television" kind of supports the idea.
All in all, kick ass song and a kick ass video. |

Interesting song. I hear this band is made of Kim Gordon from Sonic Youth and Julie Cafritz from Pussy Galore. It's a pretty addicting song. I think it's about the music industry or something, but I could be wrong. |

Lit – Lipstick And Bruises Lyrics

He's talking about becoming a famous band. He talks about how the fans give you praise and everything, yet then they go off and say shit about you if you do something or sing something they don't like. It's hard to explain, but I heard it explained before. I guess you'll have to read the lyrics yourself! |

Built to Spill – Strange Lyrics

Very kick ass voice. It's got a funky tune, but that makes it all the more lovable. Can't really say what the song is about... it's one of those things were I think I know, but then again I'm not sure. And I don't even know how to describe it. You know? I guess he's just talking about how... strange... things are. |

Crazy Town – Revolving Door Lyrics

To me it seems like he's talking about what a stud he is and how he gets all the ladies. Meh... not my kind of style. I don't like it when people brag about themselves in songs. This song was ok at first, but I get really annoyed with the style. |
