Nirvana – Sifting Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i agree with rehersedinsanity. cobain used a lot of (painful) childhood experiences as lyrical inspiration, especially on bleach. but i think these kind of nostalgic childhood songs are usually funny... or not as serious as they could be. the line "wet your bed, wouldn't it be fun?" keeps it from getting too serious. likewise... the song "school" is musically very angry, violent, and ardent ... but the lyrics are so dumb. ("you're in high school again... no recess!") |

wow... kurt cobain has sort of a lame following but anyway, to me it's about drugs. simple as that. |

Nirvana – Lounge Act Lyrics | 21 years ago |
"We've made a pact to learn from who Ever we want without new rules We'll share what's lost and what we grew" i think that pretty much somes it up. this song is so underappreciated it makes me sick. i think it's one of nirvana's best. i don't care if it's about rape-- that doesn't really matter. cobain is so genuinely angry in this song; what matters is that feeling you get listening to him scream. |
Interpol – Stella Was a Diver and She Was Always Down Lyrics | 21 years ago |
beautiful song. it reminds me of "where is my mind" by the pixies a little. i think it's just about this girl stella escaping the trivialities of the world and finding something thrilling within herself. |
