i love this song and ex boyfriend of mine and I used to listen to silverchair alot and now that weve broken up i kind of see this song as an anthem to teh end of our relationship, mostly from his point of view i knwo when it ended he was thinking "remember today, i've no respect for you" and "i love the way you love but i hate the way i'm supposed to love you back" meanwhile i was thinking "i miss you love" |

I think this song is about rape I think it's from the males POINT OF VIEW, trying to justify what he did He can MAKE IT THROUGH the whole ordeal and the guilt or shame or whatever if he sees the whole situation from A DIFFRENT POINT OF VIEW.
"Remember all that she can say Is that she knows she wants it" this line could be like telling yourself to just keep believing that the girl wanted it like she said yes so it wasnt rape The guy wants to clear his concince and convince himself that he did no wrong in raping her but that she wanted to sleep with him
"Accusation, does yes mean no?" This line may have somethign to do with the girl having said no but the guy saying she said yes
"And the kiss will kill you" Maybe he kissed her and that began the whole thing or maybe she kissed him and he took it as her wanting to have sex while maybe it was just a kiss and nothign more

Actually, Adam said it was about a one night stand he had with one of his ex's. It resulted in her becoming pregnant. They decided to keep the baby but not stay together. She wound up having a miscarriage and this is about how sad, and relieved he felt, and how guilty he felt for being relieved. It is an absolutly beautiful, haunting, and touching song. |
